Nonetheless HMG accept that HMOCS officers in Hong also entitled to compensation for the loss of the : of State's protection. The HKG has introduced its scheme for the payment of compensation for certain pensionable officers. This paper sets out HMG's p for compensation and incentive payments for HMOCS in general.
4. In the special circumstances of Hong Kong, the scheme is as follows:
(a) A calculation of the total sum for which an off would be provisionally eligible under sub paragraph. (c) below will be made using:
- the tables set out in the HKG limited compensatic for officers superseded for promotion in order to c the relevant factor to be applied in relation to th
concerned; and
- the notional sterling equivalent'' for the sala rank point in which the officer is serving on 30 Ju (see paragraph 6 below).
(b) A first payment of a proportion of the sum.so: c: will be made on 30 June 1997, the last day on which Secretary of State has responsibilities in respect serving officers of HMOCS in Hong Kong, to all HMOCC officers who are in the service of the HKG on that: c
(c) Subsequent payments will be made at annual inter officers, who were members of HMOCS on 30 June: 1997 are in the service of the Hong Kong SARG on the date subsequent payment.
