in the United Kingdom:

and

in Hong Kong;

in the country from which the officer was recruited or where he intends to reside:

in the case of payment to the dependants or personal representatives of an officer. in the country in which they reside;

in such country as the officer or his dependents or personal representatives may, with the concurrence of the Secretary of State, select;

where payment is to be made in a place other than the United Kingdom, the payment will be made at the official rate of exchange as between sterling and the currency of that place prevailing at the time of the payment.

ELIGIBILITY FOR RETIREMENT BENEFITS

9.(1) An eligible officer under the Scheme shall be entitled to retire from the pensionable service with payment of earned pension benefits irrespective of whether his length of service in Hong Kong is less than ten years, and of whether he has attained the minimum retiring age at the date of his retirement.

(2) Retirement under this Scheme will be in accordance with the provisions of the Hong Kong Pensions Ordinance (CAP 89), the Hong Kong Pensions Benefits Ordinance (CAP 99) and the Pensions Benefits (Judicial Officers) Ordinance (CAP 401).
