How much of an officer's service was protected under the sterling safeguard for pensions? Did this also apply to any bought back pensionability?
It would also be useful to know how the SPOS arrangements work with regard to any Hong Kong (or other) pensioners who previously were on contract terms but switched over. Does SPOS apply to all pensionable service, irrespective of whether it was bought back or "real"?
