Finally could you please comment on legal implications of the suggestion at para 5 of Hong Kong telno 685 that they might hold the deadline of 30 June 1992 for transfer to pensionable terms (and thus the dealine for applications for HMOCS membership) even if we have not by then announced our decisions on sterling safeguards for HMOCS pensions.
6.1 also attach Hong Kong telno 67,2 and FCO telno 407, the remaining two in our exchange of telegrams on this issue.
