The Bill will be modelled on the MTRC Ordinance, but will need to reflect the degree of international regulation of airport operations.
The first draft of the Bill is expected to be ready to pass to the Chinese Side in late April. It will go to LegCo on about 24 June, and should be passed on 15 July.
The timetable for the Bill is tight. We hope for co-operation from the Chinese Side in giving their comments promptly.
