This Consortium has shown an experienced appreciation of the project requirements. They are very experienced in major bridge, including suspension bridge, construction, and in achieving. quality standards. Their programming laid emphasis, Qˆ early completion of the bridge substructure; this should give

the least risk of late completion. Their financial position has

been found to be in order in all respects.

Since

Anglo-Japanese's bid was second lowest, after Hyundai whose bid cannot be accepted, the CTB has decided to award the Tsing Ma Bridge Contract to the Anglo-Japanese Consortium.

The Finance Committee had approved on 19 July 1991 a ot $5,197 million (March 1991) for the Tsing to Bridge This provision is equivalent to some $7,186 million
