The $7,144 million figure in the contract is in money of the day. I am pleased to be able to tell you that this figure is within the money of the day equivalent of the project estimate approved by the Finance Committee in July

last year.

At that time, Finance Committee estimate for the entire Lantau Fixed Crossing which included a figure at March 1991 prices of $5,197 million for the Tsing Ma Bridge.
