HONG KONG: ANNOUNCEMENT OF AWARD OF A MAJOR CONTRACT TO A
CONSORTIUM INCLUDING BRITISH FIRMS
1. The Provisional Airport Authority in Hong Kong announced today (press release attached) that they had awarded the contract for the construction of the platform on which the airport will be built to an international consortium
including Costains.
2.
There is no need to volunteer comment. But in case you are asked I attach a line to take and supplementaries. Any more detailed points can be referred to the DTI or the PAA
in Hong Kong as appropriate.
