The Tsing Ma Bridge will carry both road and rall
traffic and will be one of the world's longest suspension
bridges, with a central span of 1,377m. It is the first and
biggest of five major contracts to be let for the Lantau
Fixed Crossing, which is a crucial section of the road and
rail linka to the new airport at Chek Lap Kok. Work i
