The Bids

Bids for the Lantau Fixed Crossing contract (the main bridge project) were submitted on 16 December. There were

four prequalified Consortia: an Anglo-Japanese group (AJC)

including Trafalgar House and Costain, and French-led,

Korean and all- Japanese groups. All submitted tenders for the contract and all took up the option to include a financing proposal.

3. The Hong Kong Government are now evaluating the bids, assisted by a panel of international experts, and their
