French Request for Overflight Clearance

Thank you for your letter of 5 5 October 1992. Having consulted with our Civil Aviation Department, I confirm that we have no objection to the French's request. In addition to the point that the agreement will not last beyond 1997, we would be grateful if you would emphasize the following points to the French authorities :

(a) advance notice of such military overflights should

be given as early as possible; and

(b)

normal ATC procedures (e.g. filing flight plans, making position reports, complying with ATC instructions etc.) would still have to be followed.
