Expatriation Pay
Overseas officers appointed to posts advertised prior to
1 July 1969 who were in receipt of expatriation pay on 1 April 1971 are, subject to the provisions of paragraph 2 of Annex 4.4 to Civil Service Regulations, eligible for expatriation pay at the following rates with effect from 1 April 1992 :
(a) Serving Junior Police Officers on the pay points of the Police

(b) Other serving officers except those referred to in (c) below
At the rate of $2,410 per month until they reach the mark-time point shown below. From this point upward, their expatriation pay will diminish with each increment received, so that the combined total of salary plus expatriation pay will remain unchanged, until they reach a pay point at which their salary alone exceeds their previous combined total of salary plus expatriation pay. No expatriation pay will be payable to them thereafter. The mark-time points for the various ranks affected are as follows :
