You should consider carefully both your position and your need for independent financial advice. This can be obtained from independent financial advisers authorised under the Financial Services Act 1986. These include firms of accountants, solicitors and independent financial advisers (including pension consultants). Most of the latter will be members of FIMBRA. They are listed in the yellow pages of the telephone directory and they may be prepared to advise you on a fee-paying basis.

TIME LIMITS

Remember that certain time limits apply to the transfer of pension benefits. You should make sure that you understand those that apply to you whether they relate to the PCSPS or to your new scheme.
