Nature of Power or Duty
To allow such further period for the Consumer Council to prepare a statement of the accounts of the Council including an income and expenditure account and a balance sheet.
To allow such further period for the Consumer Council to furnish a report on the affairs of the Council for that year, a copy of Its accounts and the auditor's report to the Governor.
To authorize the writing off of any asset or any debt due to the Welfare Fund.
To use the Exchange Fund to affect the exchange value of the Hong Kong dollar.
To make Exchange Fund Investments.
To borrow for the account of the Fund on the
security of any asset held by the Fund or on the general revenue.

this Ordinance.
To approve policy pursued by the Corporation with respect to matters covered by section 12.
To approve the terms and conditions of employment of officers appointed by the Corporation.
To determine a period longer than six months after the end of the financial year for the furnishing by the Corporation of its annual report, financial statements and auditor's report.
