Nature of Power or Duty
To permit a type I vessel which is, or has been within 24 hours previous to the time of arrival, on fire and which is carrying dangerous goods
to enter the harbour.
To remove the restrictions on movements within the harbour of a type I vessel carrying dangerous goods in category 1.
To exempt a type i vessel carrying dangerous goods In category I from the requirement that It remains outside harbour limits whilst typhoon signal No. 8 or above is holsted.
To exempt a type li vessel carrying dangerous goods in category 5 from the requirement that It remains outside harbour limits whilst typhoon signal No. 8 or above is holsted.
To permit, subject to such conditions and
restrictions as thought fit, a type II vessel to carry dangerous goods.
To permit alterations in the structure or fittings of a type III vessel authorized to carry dangerous goods.
To permit passengers on a type !!! vessel carrying dangerous goods.
To permit the towing of a type III vessel carrying dangerous goods.
To remove restrictions on the movements within the harbour of a type Il vessel carrying certain classes of dangerous goods.
To exempt type II vessel carrying certain classes of dangerous goods from the requirement that it remains outside harbour limits or in a dangerous goods anchorage whilst typhoon signal No. 8 or above is hoisted.
To approve the persons who shall be empowered to issue gas free certificates in respect of type II or type Ill vessels used for carrying dangerous goods in category 5, class 1 or 2.
