I am enclosing a letter and enclosures received from one Kevin Cahill, alleging Hong Kong/Malaysia/UK skulduggery in the case of Lorrain Osman. Mr Cahill says be believes I may have a direct insight into the matter - I imagine he must have found my name on an old FCO list (I was assistant in Hong Kong Dept in 1985-87).

I have in fact no knowledge, official or private, of this affair, and my instinct would be to reply to Mr Cahill telling him so. But in case there is inwardness of which I am unaware, thought it best to ask first whether you had any advice to offer. What do you think?
