ALLEGATION OF CORRUPTION IN THE FOREIGN AND COMMONWEALTH OFFICE.
May I thank you for your letter dated 30 April, 1991.
I would like to place on record my appreciation and ongoing gratitude to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, it's staff, both here in London and at various embassies throughout the world for many kindnesses over the years.
You will note that I do not accuse either the Department or any individual of corruption. I laid before each of the Department's concerned, what I consider to be prima facie evidence of corruption in the above prosecution. I did so after exhaustive investigation, and having independently consulted a leading
European Public Prosecutor. It was pointed out to me that I had
a duty as a citizen to bring the relevant material to the attention of the appropriate authorities. Your answer to my
submission makes clear that actions such as mine are unwelcome.
Indeed you go further and actually threaten me with unspecified action for having the temerity to comply with my duty, even allowing that my actions may be inimical to my professional
interests. I need your formal assurances that I retain the right to submit to appropriate authority, material that is prima facie
evidence of wrong doing, wherever it may occur, and where I possess such evidence.
