IBRAHIM JAAFAR

1. Ibrahim Jaafar has been granted criminal immunity by the Government of Hong Kong and civil liability by Bank Bumiputra Malaysia Berhad (BBMB).

2. Criminal immunity on terms detailed in letter dated 21 June 1985 from C W Reid (Warwick Reid), the Deputy Crown Prosecutor in Attorney General's Chambers Hong Kong.

3. Civil liability on terms detailed in agreement dated 14th October 1985 between BBMB and Ibrahim Jaafar. As part of the agreement Jaafar agreed to give full, frank and truthful information, co-operation and assistance and evidence if and when called upon to do so.

4. As part of agreement Jaafar continues to be employed by BBMB on the terms and conditions relevant to his previous employment.

5. During the hearing of the civil case brought by the liquidators of EDA Ltd against BMFL Ibrahim Jaafar was a major witness. Detailed below are extracts from the transcript of cross examination of Jaafar:-
