Summary

1. I should be grateful for approval to have about £417 to enable me to add on a 2 to 3 day visit to Peking to my refamiliarisation visit to Hong Kong, the latter being paid for by HKG.

The Hong Kong Government have agreed to fund, and Mr Ricketts has agreed that I may go on a one week refamiliarisation visit to Hong Kong starting on 4 November.

I think it would be most useful for me if I were able to add on 2-3 days number to be advised by the Embassy Peking.

I have never visited Peking and I think the visit both to the Embassy, to meet colleagues there and to see how it works, and a visit to the following Chinese institutions would be very helpful:
