Mr Burns has asked for our 1990/91 travel bids. I would be grateful if you could give me details of any trips you, members of your section or any newcomers to your section may make in the next financial year. I will need to know:

a) date of travel (if known);

b) duration of trip;

c) grade of officer making trip (to calculate subsistence); d) class of fare required (club/economy);

e) purpose of visit.

It would be helpful to know which trips are "necessary" ie. trips for operational reasons and those which are "desirable" ie. for familiarisation. However there may be some familiarisation visits which will fall into the "necessary" category. Please list "desirable" journeys in order of priority.

3. We also need to bear in mind any duty trips to the UK by UK rep JLG or Peking staff that are funded by Mr Burns' budget.

Our department bid has to reach Mr Burns by 15 February. It would be a great help to me in coordinating our bid if you could let me have the above information by Thursday 14 February.
