LIST

1.

I submit for Lord Caithness' approval the list of 28 British Undertakings approved by the Advisory Group on 11 April as reported in BTC telno 118 and a further list of 28 British Undertakings approved on 6 May (reported by fax

to DTI).

2. The names on both lists have now been approved by the DTI, who ran checks at Companies House in respect of those which claimed to have a connection with a British registered company. The first list was not submitted for approval earlier because it was necessary for the DTI to seek further information from BTC in order to agree which of the categories of Undertaking was appropriate for classifying a number of the companies. By the time the information was available the Advisory Group had approved a second list. Both we and the DTI are also satisfied that the Advisory Committee's recommendations have not deviated from the

established guidelines.
