Thank you for your fax of 16 April which I have discussed with James Smith-Laittan. Our comments are as follows:

LIST B

a) All 7 companies listed under Inchcape are ultimately 100%

owned by Inchcape, whose recent acquisition of the Hutchison companies and their integration with Dodwell Industrial created these five operating units, therefore they should remain on List B. (Boag Engineering Ltd was previously Hutchison-Boag Engineering Ltd and Boag Building Supplies Ltd was previously Hutchison Building Materials Ltd, although the name changes did not come into effect immediately after Inchcape's acquisition). I enclose a copy of Boag Engineering's letter to David of 5 March for your information.

b)

Yes, the two Freeman Fox companies should be moved to List C.

Again, you are right, both Boftex Ltd and Pifco Overseas Ltd should be moved to List B as they are 100% owned by UK registered companies.

Hong Kong United Dockyards was submitted to the Governor for approval on 7 February in the slightly different format of Hongkong United Dockyards, sorry, our oversight. Hong Kong United Dockyards should be deleted from the list of 12 April.

Further information on List F will be provided early next week on Rosie' 8 return.
