3. Reference manuals containing detailed job description of various occupations covered by the scheme, points scored for different educational qualifications, community services etc and their computer codes to be printed and put on sale at Government Publications Sales Centre, major district offices and post offices, Immigration Department headquarters and other commercial outlets.
Extra copies will be available for free inspection and general reference by public at all district offices, immigration counters, post offices, public libraries and overseas offices.
4. Press advertisements at launching of scheme and shortly before deadline. This includes one insert in all overseas editions of Sing
Tao Jih Pao.
5. TV and radio APIs on application period and the availability of application forms, guidance notes and reference manuals (frequency to vary, more intensive during launching of scheme and towards deadline for applications).
6. Posters at prime locations throughout.
7. Back-up media publicity such as interviews, press release etc as
necessary. The first was a 2-part series on the
a 2-part series on the "Access" TV programme on December 8 and 9 to explain how application forms should be completed.
8. Mid-February 1991 (three weeks before deadline)
(a) Press release to remind public of deadline and existence of
second tranche.
