Service on the Legislative Council or Executive Council will be awarded 4 points a year. Service member of other councils, boards and committees will be awarded 2 points a year and an additional 2 points each year for service as a chairman. Points can be scored for service on up to 6 bodies from 1.12.1980 to 30.11.1990. Only service not provided in the course of applicant's official duties will be counted.

Auxiliary service

(maximum 50 points)

2 points for each year of service with the Auxiliary Medical Services, the Civil Aid Services, the Royal HK Auxiliary Air Force, the Royal HK

HK Auxiliary Police Force, or the Royal HK Regiment (the Volunteers). Service performed before 1.12.90 will be counted. No points will be awarded for service while on the reserve list.

Voluntary work

(maximum 30 points)

6 points for unpaid voluntary service for a continuous period of not less than 3 years as a member of a board of directors, or management committee of an

approved agency in the medical, educational or social welfare field. Thereafter, each additional year of service will score 2 points. Service up to 1.12.90 will be counted.

6 points for unpaid voluntary service as a volunteer helper in such agencies for a continuous period of not less than 3 years provided that such service amounts to an average of not less than 4 hours per month. Thereafter, each additional year of service will score 2 points. Service up to 1.12.90 will be counted.
