BRITISH NATIONALITY (HONG KONG) (RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CITIZENSHIP) REGULATIONS 1990

Made under section 3 (1)

1.

Citation and commencement

(1) These regulations may be cited as the British Nationality

(Hong Kong) (Recommendations for Citizenship) Regulations 1990.

These regulations shall come into operation on 1 December

2.

Interpretation

(1) In these regulations, unless the context otherwise

requires

"the Act" means the British Nationality (Hong Kong) Act 1990 (1990

C. 34);

"applicant" means an applicant for a recommendation and in relation

to an application made on behalf of a person not of full age or capacity means that person and "application" shall be construed

accordingly;

"minor child" means a child who was under the age of 18 years at the

date of application for a recomendation in respect of that

child;

"recommendation" means a section 1 recommendation or a Schedule 2

recommendation as the case may be;
