Dear Richard,

Thank you for your letter of 13 February about the British Nationality Package.

I can certainly confirm that Ove Arup & Partners is on the list of British undertakings for the purposes of the selection scheme under the British Nationality (Hong Kong) Act. This means that members of staff of your Company in Hong Kong would be eligible for the "British links" points available in the scheme, should they apply. All other things being equal, these extra "British links" points should give a candidate an advantage over an equally well qualified candidate who does not work for a British undertaking in Hong Kong.

The deadline for submitting applications is 28 February There are no plans to extend the deadline.
