/ 1. Enclosed is an extract of an interview given by Singapore's Minister for
Communications and Second Minister for Defence, Dr Yeo Ning Hong, to Malcolm Billings of the BBC World Service's "Seven Seas" programme.
2. Although, as you will see, the interview mainly covers the subject of piracy, the Minister made some helpful remarks on Hong Kong which I have highlighted.
3. As you know, Yeo Ning Hong will be visiting London later this month; these remarks are very much in line with other Singapore Government Ministers' statements on Hong Kong, such as BG Yeo's comments in an interview with FEER which we reported separately.
