The High Commission will report. key points seem to be that the Indians are looking at the issue of dual nationality on a global basis and not simply in connection with Hong Kong. Mr Mehotra, the Secretary (East), was interested in what I had to say about Hong Kong but did not give me the impression that the Indian Government felt any particular pressure from members of the community living there.
