2.
You asked about whether Sir Geoffrey would wish to have an official from GH sitting in on his meeting with Zhou Nan. He would certainly be grateful for this. Perhaps it might be possible to incorporate that with the role of interpreter on either side, thus making a total of no more than four attendees? Would Sir David/Zhou Nan agree to this?
3. I am in touch direct with Jones Day, United Biscuits,
Glaxo, and BICC to make sure that everything is in place between the UK and HK offices. I am also confirming from where their various bundles of briefing are due to originate. If they wish briefing to be sent to Sir Geoffrey upon arrival in HK, might it be possible for me to give them your name as a reference point at
GH?

Would there be time on Wednesday, 25th between 1630 1730 to see Mr. Sam? The alternative may be
It would certainly be
be Thursday, 26th at 0800-0900. more helpful to have him call on Sir Geoffrey sooner rather than later. I believe Sir Geoffrey will want to be measured for one/two suits, and choose fabric for shirts. Is one hour enough?

I shall be in touch again by telephone later this morning, but meantime, many thanks indeed for all your help.
6.
I am, of course, copying this note to HKD in London for their information.
