Members of the party (excluding the press) accommodated in the Shangri-La Hotel will be on conference terms, ie the Embassy will pay the cost of the suites/rooms, standard breakfast, service and taxes, and each individual will receive half the Class A rate to cover all other expenses.

GOVERNMENT HOUSE
Members of the party accommodated in Government House will receive one-third of the appropriate rate of subsistence.
HONG KONG:
HILTON HOTEL
Members of the party accommodated in the Hilton Hotel will be on Conference terms, ie the British Trade Commission will pay the cost of suites/rooms, standard breakfast, service and taxes, and each individual will receive half the Class A rate to cover all other expenses.
b) The detectives require no subsistence. The Embassy/ British Trade Commission should pay for their hotel rooms, service charges and tax, debiting the Metropolitan Police.

ADMINISTRATION
The party will be administered by the undersigned in conjunction with the Embassy, Peking and Government House/British Trade Commission, Hong Kong. She will travel in advance of the official party, meeting up with them in Peking. After 30 August enquiries at the London end should be directed to Mr D Fisher (Tel: 210 6373). The Duty Officer for the weekend 31 August/1 September will be Miss Alison Sindon available on 081 994 7609 or on the bleeper via the Resident Clerk.
