12. NEWSPAPERS AND COI SUMMARIES
a)
Conference Section have arranged via the Newspaper Publishers Association for supplies of UK daily newspapers to be sent to Hong Kong.
b)
The COI Summary will be transmitted each day to Peking and Hong Kong as appropriate.
13. PRESS
The press party will be responsible for the payment of their own hotel bills. The cost of their ground transport abroad is included in the all-inclusive charge for their travel.
14. OFFICE MACHINERY AND STATIONERY
a) Portable typewriters will be taken by the Personal Assistants for work on the VC10.
b) The Personal Assistants will bring with them Zenith and Toshiba portable computer/word processors with separate printers and Cannon typestar portable electronic typewriters for use in Peking and Hong Kong.
c) Electric typewriters, a photocopier (with collator where possible) and common-user stationery will be provided for the Private Offices.
15. GIFTS
The party will bring gifts, based on advice concerted with the Post, Geographical Department and No 10 Downing Street.

ENTERTAINMENT
The Embassy in Peking will provide duty free liquor in the Press Suite.
b)
Duty free items for private purchase have been ordered from the Embassy.

CLIMATE AND CLOTHING
Peking
Daytime temperatue is likely to be about 20/26°C, evening about 5° cooler. There is a slight possibility of rain.
