For the US advance, there might be some merit in going direct to Kennybunkport (daily BA flight at 1645 ETA Boston 1900, connecting at 2010 ETA Portland (Maine) at 2049) and then going down to Washington to await the party's arrival. This is, of course, dependent on the views of the host government. I will speak to Mrs Edwards in Washington and get advice on this.
