Secretary, the Rt Hon Douglas Hurd CBE MP.

During his visit

the Prime Minister and Premier Li Peng will sign the

Memorandum of Understanding between the governments of the United Kingdom and China relating to the new airport in Hong

Kong.

He will also discuss other matters of common interest

with the Chinese government. The Prime Minister also looks

forward to making his first official visit to Hong Kong on

4/5 September. He will have talks with the Governor and ExCo

and meet other leading members of the community ENDS.
