Licensing requirements for dealers and retailers
of liquors were removed in August 1989 (previously,
different licence fees were charged according to the
type of liquor concerned). Licensing fees are still charged for importers, brewers, keepers of bonded
warehouses etc but there is no distinction made between
different types of liquor involved.
