AFTER HIS MEETING WITH EXCO
IN HONG KONG
ON WEDNESDAY, 3.APRIL 1991
FOREIGN SECRETARY:
I took the advantage of this meeting to ask the Executive
Council for their views and advice en various matters concerning the
British Government at the moment and in particular of course the
various things that will come up on my visit to Peking, it was
private meeting so you will not expect me to say what advice they gave me but from my point of view it was a very useful discussion
and I go away wiser from it.

discussing the choice, whether we intensify cooperation during this
second phase up to 1997 or whether we are content with stagnation
in the and obviously we believe,
