Arrested
on 7 April 1990. He was allowed to return to his village on
11 September 1989 but was served with an order restricting him
to the village for 3 years.

Bishop of Hohot, Nei Mongol. Arrested at the end of 1989.
Released a few months later but restricted to his village of
residence.

Li Side (Joseph)
李思德
Bishop of Tianjin. Arrested on 9 December 1989 and detained in
a city prison. Bishop Li was released in June 1991 and allowed
to celebrate Mass in public, but he still remains under police
surveillance.

Liang Xisheng (John Baptist)

Bishop of Kaifeng diocese, Henan province.
68 years old.
Arrested in October 1990 and released to house arrest in
February 1991.
