Mr Qian stated that Hong Kong should continue to be stable and
prosperous and keep its status as a financial centre after 1997.
He also said that China would make continuous efforts to realize
these aims. I would like to enforce our co-operation with your
country more over the Hong Kong problem.
I expect to see you soon in London when I participate
in the G7 summit meeting held in your country.
