Amend the Crown Proceedings Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and

consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

1.

Citation

This Ordinance may be cited as the Crown Proceedings

(Amendment) Ordinance 1991.

Section added

The Crown Proceedings Ordinance (Cap. 300) is amended by adding

after section 7

"7A.

Suspension and revival

of section 8

(1) Section 8 ceases to have effect except in relation to

anything suffered by a person in consequence of an act or

omission committed before the commencement of the Crown

Proceedings (Amendment) Ordinance 1991.

(2) Notwithstanding subsection (1), where the Secretary

of State instructs the Governor that -

(a) an imminent national danger or great emergency

has arisen; or
