as it thinks fit. However, if the debtor fails without cause to comply with the Court order, he may be imprisoned for a period of not exceeding 3 months.
58. When a judgement debtor is committed to prison the Court shall fix whatever monthly allowance it may think sufficient for his support and maintenance, not exceeding $100 per diem, which shall be paid by the judgement creditor by monthly payments in advance. All such sums are recoverable by the attachment and sale of the property of the judgement debtor.
59. The debtor so imprisoned will be released at any time on the judgement being fully satisfied, or at the request of the judgement creditor, or on such creditor omitting to pay his support and maintenance money. However, an order for imprisonment cannot be taken as satisfying or extinguishing the judgement debt.

Paragraph 1
60. Mental Health Ordinance Cap. 136, regulates the reception detention and treatment of mentally disordered persons. It provides, inter alia that no person shall be received into a mental hospital otherwise than on transfer from another mental hospital, on return from leave of absence or on recapture except
(a) upon the order of Court;
(b)as a voluntary patient;
(c) as a patient under observation;
(d)as a temporary patient;
(e) by virtue of a hospital order;
(f)upon remand by a court or magistrate for the purposes of observation, investigation and treatment;
(g) by virtue of a transfer order; or
(h)upon the warrant of the Governor.
61. A new Mental Health (Amendment) Bill 1987 is currently before the Legislative Council. This Bill proposes certain new provisions
existing Ordinance which are now perceived
to deal with areas of the to be defective.
The Amendment Bill (1987) contains the following major provisions:
a mandatory requirement for a medical assessment before a patient is detained in a mental hospital for observation
a new definition of the term mental disorder which includes a definition of psychopathic disorder
