Ratification of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of
the Child.
RECOMMENDATION
2.
Following ministerial agreement and detailed inter-departmental
consideration, and in line with the commitment as announced in
Parliament, I recommend that the Secretary of State sign the Instrument of Ratification of the Convention in respect of the
United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and a Note
which we will instruct Sir David Hannay to lodge with the
Secretary-General recording our reservations. I submit the
