4. You also asked about the different types of disciplinary awards. As can be seen from flag N (Prison Rule 254 flagged), these range from reprimand and severe reprimand (which freeze an officers promotion for between 1 to 5 years), to a fine of an amount no more than one month's salary, demotion or compulsory retirement. Mr Hung was therefore given one of the least significant punishments.
5. In short, I continue to recommend that it would be appropriate to deal with this case without reference to the
Secretary of State or the Palace.
