I have the honour to refer

to

the

Agreement

of

between the Government of the United Kingdom of Great

Britain and Northern Ireland and the Government

Australia concerning Air Services, done at London on

7 February 1958, as amended, and to propose that:-

territory of the United Kingdom for the

purposes of the said Agreement, except,

until 30 June 1997, for the purposes of

Article 2(3) thereof;

(11) In the Route Schedule to the said Agreement,

[Hong Kong shall be deleted from the routes

numbered I in

Section A and in Section B

and] the routes

numbered I I

and III in

Section A and in Section B shall be deleted.

The Ioregoing proposal is acceptable to the

Government Of Australia, I have the honour to suggest that

present Note and Your Excellency's reply to that effect

shall constitute an agreement between the two Governments

which shall enter into force on the date on which an Air

Services Agreement between the Government of Australia and

the Government of Hong Kong enters into force.
