The Austrian Embassy presents its compliments to the
Foreign and Commonwealth Office and with reference to preceding contacts with the Department of Transport, International
Aviation Directorate, in March 1991 has the honour to inform
the Foreign and Commonwealth Office that Austria would like to enter into Air-Services Negotiations with Hong Kong as soon as possible. This request is based on a recent recommendation by
the Hong Kong Aviation authority to apply for negotiations in
London through diplomatic channels. Austria suggests to hold
negotiations preferably in the second half of August 1991.
The Austrian Embassy would be grateful to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office for advice on further procedural steps to
be taken and would appreciate a reply regarding the proposed date for these negotiations at its earliest convenience.
The Austrian Embassy avails itself of this opportunity to
renew to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office the assurances of
its highest consideration.
