I understand that these are going well and that you and Mr Moss (DTP) recently agreed to roll over the present

arrangements for another year.

I understand that at long last the Chinese have agreed to meet a UK delegation and that the Hong Kong Government will be represented on the delegation. I hope progress will be made. I see you will be discussing these and other matters with Mr Moss on Monday.
