this Convention undertakes that it will regularly collect, compile and publish basic labour statistics, which shall be progressively expanded in accordance with its resources to cover the following subjecta:
employment,
where
economically active population, relevant unemployment, and where possible visible underemployment;

(c) Since 1981 a continuous quarterly General Household Survey has been conducted to collect Information on the labour force characteristics of Hong Kong. The curvey is now based on a quarterly sample of about 12 000 households
41 000 persons, representing about 0.7 % of the land-based, civilian, non-institutional population in Hong Kong. Personal and labour force data are collected by Interviewing each individual member In the household.
Starting from January 1985, measuring labour
the definitions used in labour force, employment and underemployment have been revised 60 a8 to conform with those recommended by the Thirteenth International Conference of Labour Statistics (ICLS) held in October 1982.
