1: The United Kingdom Government ratified the Repatriation of Seamen Convention 1926 (ILC No. 23) on 3 June 1989, the LaboUZ Statistics Convention 1985 (ILC No. 160) on 27 May 1387, and tile Accommodation of Crews (Fishermen) Convention 1966 (ILC NO. 126) on 13 August 1985, The British side propose to make declarations, in accordance with Article 35 of the constitution of the international Labour Organisation (ILO), of application, or non-application to Hong Kong in respect of these three

The weekly Rest (Industry) Convention, 1921 (IIC NO. 14) ban been applied to Hong Kong since 23 January 1976 and the Holidays with 'Pay (Agriculture) convention, 1952 (ILC NO. 101) since 27 January 1978. The British side propose to improve the declarations of application in respect of these two conventions.

The Repatriation of Seamen Convention (text at Annex Aj requires that any seaman who is landed during the tom of his engagement or on its expiration shall be entitled to be taken! back to his own country or port of engagement 04
