(b) as soon as Treaty Section receive formal instructions to prepare an instrument of ratification, a copy of those instructions, together with a draft instrument and any relevant minuting on the subject of territorial application, will be sent to NTD's legal adviser;
(c) NTD's legal adviser will examine the draft instrument in the context of the terms of the treaty and the relevant minuting and will check the position with the legal adviser to the lead department before returning the papers to NTD to complete the procedures in connection with ratification.
