stained by persons in such premises and concerning damage to property or injury to persons arising from use of transport provided by the Government, shall be as follows:
(a)
Throughout the period when the premises are being used by the Organization the Government shall meet; within the limits of civil responsibility, any claims which may be made against the Organization in respect of any injury to persons or any damage to the premises and to the fixtures, furniture and equipment therein, it being understood that the Government's authorities may take the necessary measures to safeguard the said premises, particularly against fire and theft.
(b) The Government shall further indemnify and shall save the Organization harmless against any and whatsoever claims in respect of damage to property or injury to persons arising from the use of any transport provided by the Government for the purpose of this Agreement.
(c) The Government shall be entitled at all times to claim from the Organization indemnification for any material damage caused, or payment of the amount to cover compensation for injury to any person when such damage or injury is caused by omission or negligence on the part of officials of the Organization.
(i) For the purposes of this Article, the term "officials of the Organization" means regular and temporary members of the Secretariat of the Organization serving under a contract of appointment.
Article XIII: Final Provisions
The present Agreement shall enter into force upon the date of its signature.
