Mr. Samuel S.K. LEUNG

Born in Hong Kong in 1940. Admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Judicature in England and Wales in 1976. Admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Hong Kong in 1977.

Before obtaining his legal qualifications, Mr.

LEUNG was employed by the Hong Kong Judiciary as a Judicial Clerk when he served a number High Court Judges in succession.. in 1974 he was awarded a legal scholarship to go to England to do articles of clerkship and to sit the Solicitors' Final Examination. He returned to Hong Kong in 1976 and joined the Attorney General's Chambers as a Crown Counsel.

He was promoted to Senior Crown Counsel in 1982; to Assistant

Principal Crown Counsel in 1985 and Deputy Principal Crown Counsel in 1987. Apart from the first ten months, he remained in the Prosecutions Division since joining.
