On the day of my arrival at the HK Macau Centre, I
received a welcome note from Dr Harry Fang. The next day
the general manager, a Mr

we could go to. That very night, a

opened specially for us! The power (absolute power ?) of
the administration never failed to astound me !
Request for Interview

A Miss
Li
Hong (李紅) of (中华英才報館,
rang up on 24th to ask for an interview with me. I asked
my
secretary to see if Mr Chang knew of this. His response
was that he did not know and he would not object to my
interview but would like to be informed of the paper
giving
interviewing me for follow-up record.
Basically I felt the
interview was
unnecessary and might put subsequent
•
difficulties in the way of the interviewer.
I declined the
interview on the ground that I was busy.
